Lumix FP3

I did it.
Not exactly on impulse since I did research for 2 nights on the camera I wanted to buy, my eyes really hurt when I read through zillions of different camera reviews. I thought of getting a Cybershot, some specs weren't that impressive while others were sold at a outrageous price, so No for Sony. Then I thought of Olympus, Fujifilm and Nikon. Samsung was out since I never really like it at the first place.
I was particular drawn to Fujifilm's colourful Z-series. But the specs were just meh~, max shutter speed is only 1/1000 sec, even my mum's Lumix FP8 is faster than that. So I crossed it out. In the end I decided to go with Lumix FP1, I figured out that FP3's 14MP isn't really necessary and FP1 is slightly better at capturing more fps, not to mention that it's cheaper.

And so I set off to my camera quest yesterday. Went to JB HiFi couldn't find my target. Then I decided to check out the camera house outside Westfield and walked out of the frigging huge mall across vast car park to get there.

All they had was this, which was within my budget and my criterias, that is, lower than 200$ and built-in camera lens. According to the chap, FP3 was discontinued and there isn't many of it left in the market, so the older versions FP1 is probably extincted. And like I said before, Fujifilm was slow, so I left the shop disappointed.

I then checked Dick Smith, and my heart sort of did a somersault when I saw a FP3 (Red) sitting on the display shelf. It was even on discount!! I'd prefer the purple of the blue ones if I could choose. But at that moment I could only go Oh YES.

Figuring that FP1 is definitely no where to be found, I decided to have a FP3 instead. It was the last one left so what am I waiting for? And so I placed my order and phoned my mum that I was going to splurged her 200$ on it. All was going well, until the guy came back telling me he couldn't find the camera's bloody box.

Seriously, how do they store their products?

How can a frigging box go missing????

In the end I left the Dick Smith and decided to give Harvey Norman a try. Thank god Albert has a car! xD

And there it was, I found myself a Lumix FP3 at Harvey Norman, and it was 10$ cheaper for the camera itself and the 8GB San Disc. xD Oh Dick Smith was such a ****. Seeing that I was saving 20$ in total, the only thing I haggled was the screen protector, which was priced at 19.95 for 6 pieces of it. With a touch screen gadget, it's a terrible idea to have one without a protector. The salesperson was pretty efficient, he checked the system and knocked out 5$ for me right away.

So, including the camera, memory card, screen protector and a 30$ 2 years product care (which I bought on impulse, but I may return it in 15 days, which is something I'm very inclined to do), it costed me 268$, about RM804. Not a bad deal I supposed, now if I return the product care within 15 days, it'll be only around RM714.

By the time I reached home, I was really happy.

And so I made Okonomiyaki~
It's simply lovely to be able to make a decent meal and a decent camera to snap it down. ^_^

Last time when I made one, I didn't have the Okonomi Sauce and the Bonito Flakes with me, it tasted so bland... D: But now it actually taste like Takoyaki!!! lol Luckily I love Takoyaki~ xD

Barney!!

Went to Garden City with Chels and her dad around 7.

There wasn't much to shop around there, especially when I've just burned 268$ on my camera.

Amy's Giraffe at the food court.
It's not real, don't be fool.

Okie.
Back to my work.
I have a camp to go on Mon,
Hence my desperate quest for a camera.

CNY 2011

Okie, right after Fluffy's post, I figured out that I ought to talk bout my new life (my new 24 hours) in Perth. Then again, before that should be posted, I guess my CNY 2011 post should be cleared first.

On the 8th of Feb, we went on a house-visiting marathon, starting from Jhe Yee's house to Eloise's house then my house and finally ending the trip with Chelsia's house. Finally had the chance to learn MahJong and some other card games... lol My family doesn't have the tradition of gambling...

While the house-visiting journey ended around 6pm, I had dinner party at Mr. Pay's house!

Peanut and the gang!!

The Roast chicken and Mash Potato were delightfully lip-smacking, too bad I didn't have enough empty storage for other food!!

Group Photo on Mr. Pay's pillow covered bed!!

At last, CNY post is done... Phew...

Even though CNY still had a long way to go, I just sort of have to put it aside and make way for my new life at Perth, so even though CNY was still going on, I was just too busy settling down in my new place...

Coming up next, Perth!!

Train Wreck

Result was out on Wednesday 12.30am, I went to sleep before that after waiting for hours before my laptop for it to be released. When I woke up, Amanda's message made my heart flipped.

CIB 71
FIN 72
MKT 73
MGT 81

3 Ds and 1 HD. Was expecting more HDs... But for getting a HD in MGT was pretty surprising. Yet again, what I expect worse usually exceed my expectation to be better than I could have hoped for. It looks like I did pretty well for MGT's paper. For an internal mark of 35/50, I scored 46/50 for the paper??? I can't believe the crap the I gave could have worth so much. Wow.

Then again, I guess I should reflect on my other 'Ds' subject. CIB is pretty hopeless, Bleh. My internal mark is 46.5/60 (greatly thanks to my presentation 12.5/15, which pulled up the average!!), so that means I scored a measly 24.5/40 for the paper. Wow too.

Next goes to Finance Quantitative, which is actually just Stat and Calculus, which I pretty much slept through most, if not all, of the lesson. Hmmmm... I guess the sleeping doesn't bother too much, since I can handle the thing by myself alright. Squeezing a few weeks worth of lessons into a few days with the help of my beloved Voon-ma and hubby-Kirly makes everything possible. Too bad, I slightly underestimated the time required for practices and so on. Oh wait, that wasn't the problem, I can actualy score a lot higher for this damn paper if it weren't for my careless mistake. Oh Sheep. There's probably 5/100 gone in the MCQ and maybe even up to 30/100 gone in the last stupid question (OH WHY DIDN'T I SEE THAT EBIL NEGATIVE SIGN.). So that's like, 20/30 for that bloody paper. ouch.

Lastly, we have MKT, which I scored 21/35. T___T No idea where went wrong. But I wrote 5 essay-like answer like a mad woman in the 2 hours. Bleh.

Up next, I really need to get my Visa done asap, and get a new laptop... Hp Envy looks awesome, just as awesome as its price. So I'll just go for either Hp Pavilion Dm4 or Acer Timeline 4820... But wait, I haven't even got the green light for the idea yet...

And yeah, Comic Fiesta 2010's tomorrow, and Sunday, I'd probably be going on Sunday with my cousin, but then again, it has yet to be green-lit by my dad... Though, somehow I feel CF doesn't matter that much anymore, I don't know why. But when I try to convince myself saying that, 'it's the same, I get there, check out the Doujin booths, splurge my money over their merchandise and get back leaving my trophies dusty, what's the point?' and 'I don't cosplay or sell things, why the hell should I be there?' it just doesn't sound that convincing when the images of my fav series appearing overtook my mind.

I don't know. I feel like going, though the thought of I'm gonna get a big time if I screw up my up coming assignment old man gave me makes me retreat slightly. But it's not like I've had worse before... Right?

Bleh. We'll see how it goes on Sunday, which means I need to break my plan to him tomorrow...

Weekly Update, Not

A lot happened last week.

I started work at my dad's office, doing some menial stuff including answering phone calls (which I should just let the accountant to do cause 9/10 people who called were looking for her, me answering the phone was pretty much wasting everyone's time anyway), photocopying documents, cutting and sticking some cardboard stuff and read newspapers.

Then I was given Thursday and Friday off to take my maid, Savy to go shopping before she leaves Malaysia for good. So that's 2 easy days for me. Then, off she went back to Cambodia after working at our house for 5 long years.

Right after we came back from the airport, I finally started my Nihongo revision, which I kept on telling myself time to start and yet managed to wait to the last minute again... =___= hehehe....

But it was alright.

The next day, 5th Dec, I thought and hoped I was well-prepared. Left our house at 1pm with Osla and my sis with my mum driving and we're off to Confucius High for JLPT, or so we thought. Not that we didn't make it, but damn, some crazy people just had to have some demo in KL and quite a number of the examinees were caught in the jam. We made it in time, but many didn't.

The JLPT people thus decided to delay the exam until 3pm, which was supposed to start at 2.30pm. Of course, we hate to wait, and some can't even wait since they have a flight/train to catch or something. But if we think from some unfortunates' pov, I'd be glad that they do so. So, no complains there.

The Vocabulary/Grammar exam was pretty easy, I think I can score about 80%-90% for that... But the Comprehension one was tough. Blegh. Many weird stuffs I never seen before... The listening one was piece of cake. If I got the last question right (which I kinda failed to listen properly), I think I can score full mark. It'd be a shame if I got other questions wrong since I was so sure I understood all.

And if I need something to blame for the mishap for the last question, I'd blame the freezing hall. Heeesh, what is wrong with all those air-con system??? Why are these management wasting so much money on making the temperature too cold for us to survive???

Anyway, it's over now. That'll be the last exam for year 2010. :D

Up next, my Penang trip!!!!

December!!

With my First Year ended a week ago, I'm now whisked away to worked at an Web-design oh screw that my dad's office, well I was supposed to work at some web-designing company until my dad's receptionist threw the letter and left her post open.

So I'm working now as a office girl who spends most time doing menial tasks, reading newspaper when there's nothing to be done and hopefully receiving some sort of salary which he once suggested giving me but left the topic forgotten at the sight of lunch.

Just 2 days before my final exam, Finance 203 (which was actually Calculus), I went PAWS in hope to check out my stupid dog with the monkeys and Lizzie. Sadly, she was still under quarantine, so no hope of seeing her tail or anything bigger than that. Instead, we walked and bathed 16 dogs in total. My first dog was a jumpy one who kept on springing onto me. Couldn't remember how the second one looked like, but the third, or maybe fourth, one was particularly unforgettable, I mean, how often do you see a white sausage dog (possibly a mix, and a rather fat one too) with black spots and a pair of black patches on her back that resembles a pair of wings.

Thought of going back there to see Potato again, but seeing that I'm now stuck working with my dad... =______= Haiz...

With my thoughts on the stupid dog settled temporary, I was finally back to the studying mood for Calculus, which I slept/daydreamt through every classes and lectures. (Now that I look back, that seems like a bad idea) Bleh. It wasn't too hard to grasp the theories, but still studying half a sem's worth of subject in one day wasn't totally possible by myself. Thank god I found a mum at college who taught me whatever I never paid heed to in class. xD Luv ya~

The exam, was....

Despite everything that indicates that I was supposed to be lucky that day...

The final question was so shitty.

I got the steps correct, the only tiny mistake was the bloody +/- sign the question specially modified for us. Moreover, Mr. Mani wasn't in my exam venue giving me the bloody tips which could really save me.

Bleh whatever. HD may be ouut of reach now. I'll just aim for a D...

Right after that, went shopping at Kota Damansara with the family. Visited so many boutiques that my eyes were blurred at the sight of everything from clothes and dresses to the cleverly-designed interiors. I'm not famous for splurging money on impulse, except for sometimes, so I returned home empty-handedly despite seeing many attractive items that made my heart pound.

Went shopping at 1U last Saturday to get my sis something decent to wear for a concert. While my mum was raiding a particular shop, Iora with the help of the shop assistants, I found and snagged a chiffon top and a black skirt. xD Technically, I tried on both and my mum paid them (Wakakakakaka), so now the black skirt belongs to me, while the chiffon top belongs to my mum although I shall be wearing it more frequently (or at least I think I will). xD

Anyway, JLPT isn't very far away from now, 5th Dec is like zooming in pretty fast alright... =___= So it's time to dig out my rusting text book and revise with my sis...

Surprises

Ok, here comes another once in a while post of mine.
As much as I want to update frequently, the lazy bones and those inspiration-drained brain cells of mine are doing a fairly good job for making me to stay away from updating...

Anyway, there's some little surprises that just has to be blog-ed.

Moving on.

On Wednesday night, our team Maestro defeated the Hyenas from Taylors by 4 - 2 (I think it's 4 - 3. But the official site says 4 - 2. An error?? What happened to the last game??).

WOW.

Of course we are strong as a team, even though we've lost to them like, err... twice? (counting the matches we had with them with Jun Hsien playing in this year and last year) Though, I think luck might had a bit to do with our victory. lol

Guess what, the magical pink shirt of mine actually works.

Superstitious you say?

I guess so.

But it was very interesting indeed that whenever I bring the pink shirt with me for a match, luck is always on our side. I'm not joking. But then again, luck can only bring one so far, so it's better not to push it too hard.

When we first fought the Hyenas, we lost and I got hit at my thigh which hurt for days. But on the next match, I so happened to wore a pink shirt for practice and brought it along. Damn. We beat the squirrels flat at 7 - 0. Look at that. Not even the Hyenas could do that. And of course, we were so darn lucky as there were quite a few lucky catches on our side. xD

For the third match, the pink shirt was there as well. We won the Vipers at er...forgotten. Finally in our re-match with the Hyenas, we beat them for the first time, with the presence of my lucky pink shirt~

ok, enough pink shirt already. Let's talk about another little surprise.

So, feeling so gleeful for the victory and relieve for finally finishing my management project, I headed to Sunway for a nice karaoke session. Oh gawd, how long has it been since I last hold a mic!!! xD

Too bad for me, Sunway's Redbox system sucks big time and my throat was kinda hoarse from cheering too much the night before. I was delighted to find that Redbox has FMAB's two ED - Ray of Light and Let It Out~ =D

Then, it just sort of happened.

Suddenly Goodbye Days went poof and the screen showed Happy Birthday.

Sooooo...

I was like, Er, what happened to my song?, 'Whose birthday is it?' and did the system go hay wired and screwed up my screen time?

And of course I knew my birthday was around the corner, but the thought of these crazy girls pulling off a surprise on me never seem to cross my mind for a bit.

Then, those who got out of the room returned, with a cake, with candles on it and smirking.

Ohohohoho.

I think I get it.

OMG I can't believe it this people did it.

I was so baffled by them.

Ahahahahahaha yes papa laugh all you like.

Then I blew the candles.

And I had to pick them out with my mouth.

But those annoying pieces of fruit s were in my way, so I had to, sort of, pick and eat them up before I could reach the candles while the sadists hold my arms and tried to smush my face into the cake which I resisted aggressively (well, that explains my sore neck the next day).

But no candle picking is complete without a cake mask.

SO YEAH THEY SMASHED MY FACE INTO THE CAKE IN THE END.

The cake looked like...*points upwards* something like that, when I got up.

There was cream in my nose. Eeeeewww.

Dunnoe how the middle-most-squashed part of cake taste like, I gave it to the highest authority since it was supposedly the best piece available.

Ahahahhaha.

Everyone had a piece of spiced cake.

Ummmm. That's my early birthday surprise.

Of course it doesn't end there. Even Lizzie is already broiling some evil plot against me. Guess what Liz, if you're still wrapping whatever you're wrapping, you can stop it now. Thank you very much, I appreciate your hard work but it's really unnecessary!!!

Heh. Nvm, whatever it is, it'll come eventually, just like my ballet exam.

Work Harder?

Sem 2 is crazy. I've been writing reports non-stop for 3 weeks, not to mention that I have 2 more reports due next next week...

Had an exam on Friday with 2 assignments to pass up. Oh boy, I worked really hard on Thursday night to finish my Marketing & Finance assignments and studied my Finance (That was the very first time I read the text book properly).

I guess... It serves me right for not paying attention in class. =___=

Started really studying at 10pm until roughly 2am when my dad made me sleep. For many many reasons I only managed to fall asleep at 3++, and woke up at 5am. Tried to sleep again but fail. Was too nervous (or maybe not, I just felt dreaded and excited) to sleep. So I studied again.

Had a Brand's Chicken Essence while munching biscuits. And the chicken essence tasted awful because I can only find the kiddies one, which tasted like Banana-syrup-gone-wrong. Left house around 7.30am and it was raining. Traffic was terrible near the LDP Perabot, a few cars got banged and a lot of idiotic drivers refused to switch on their lights. They think everyone's superman, bloody idiots.

Parked my car near RHB bank and went to get the ticket. Useless ticket machines were all on strike and I didn't get any ticket after trying out 4 machines. So I parked there for a quarter of a day for free.

Went to the library and saw the family there. Added more details into my formula sheet thanks to Kirly~ And because of those additional notes, I could answer some question on the topic I decided to abandon studying. Unfortunately, there was one formula which I forgot to include in my paper.

Realised that when I couldn't find the right formula. Good thing our brain cells work better in times of emergency. I managed to recall that very formula from memory thanks to the exercises I tried out a few hours ago for the first time. xD

After passing up my assignments when the exam ended, I felt so drained and happy.

Mmmmm. I had a refreshing nap on my way back to Penang. Would love to blog about Penang, but I just feel so un-inspired right now. Perhaps later? If I ever bother to do it....

CIB 100

The business of business is business.

Dang.

Oh yeah, I just discovered something funny from the new feature Stat Blogger has just added.

My blog came out no.1 for the search "evil aunties hsu-cherng" while the true creator's site is no where to be seen anywhere. Pffft.

Exhausted

Dad was away last night. Whenever he's away I tend to sleep in very very late. I know I shouldn't, but I just can't get enough of the internet. And so, while I was reading Namewee's blog about TNB around 2 am, a blackout occurred.

Perfect timing. Bleh. But lol William wasn't alseep as well, and smsed him a few times. Then, while I was going to reply a message I just received from him, there came our light. Oh yeah, moar surfing until 3am.

Woke up at 10am and took a long time to change into my ballet attire. Since I'd be leaving at 12:15, I figured that it'll be too much of a trouble to have to change twice. After having a Carman's muesli bar (yes, that Carman's from our marketing 100!), my aunt fetched me and Ms. Ng to FAB (no it's not an abbreviation of Fabulous but Federal Academy of Ballet).

Things, were pretty much the same over there. Some posters and articles that were there long before I joined FAB were still there and some have even turned yellow. When it was one, I entered the studio with another bunch of students from other schools.

Was kinda surprised to see that the studio was refurbished. The training itself was extremely exhausting. We started from 1pm to 2:30pm none stop practising everything from barre work to pointe work with only a few rest we get to squeezed out as we take turn to dance for those big movement dance pieces.

Some students, were pretty good, in their turnout, flexibility and expressions while some others were so-so only. Though, I was quite confused with their music timing. For some pieces, I can't help but felt that they were a bit off, or perhaps it was just me being off, but for sure, some were really off.

Anyway, I was almost dead when it finally ended. Hmmm.

Went back home to shower and went to Noodle One for my lunch. Carman's was doing quite good. At least it didn't make me feel hungry for that few hours of dancing... Then I had a lovely nap when I reached home.

At 7pm, I had another dance class.... Bleh... By the time I reached home... I feel like a flop already...

Lalala~

So yes I've noticed that my last post was like 3 weeks ago and I haven't been updating frequently lately. Wall of text full of random thoughts beware.

Not really sure what's wrong with me, but it's just that I'm always losing the steam when I had something I wanted to blog about.

Anyway, my life's quite a mess right now.

I'm still working for my dad despite that my second sem has started, like for a month. So yes I have a darn good excuse for not being able to work right now and I love Uni even if I have a huge pile of assignments waiting to be written. But of course sometimes I don't get enough sleep due to that.

Furthermore, I've been driving 123, my dad's Honda Accord Manual car for about a month. WHY? Because he was complaining that I can't/forgotten how to use a manual car. And NO I still don't like driving manual car even though I've mastered the most basic skill. Of course driving it during jam hours is hell-ish. Urgh. Thank god I'm charismatic to convinced him that I can't drive it during the jam so I get to switch cars, sometimes.

What else is occupying me? My ballet practices. Oh yes my Intermediate exam's coming up in September and I don't like it, not one bit. Especially hearing that examiners are biased and they won't/don't/can't look at you if you're not slim/pretty/tall. Ouch. Reality bites I know. D=

So to make up for my look, I have to work harder. And by harder I mean really hard. I'm going to practice for 4 times per week from Thurs to Sun. There goes my shopping time. D= But it's ok, because it'll be over after the bloody exam!!!!!!!!! Then I can go on a shopping spree I have been deprived from!!!!

*

Ok, so here I am again. Got called away to work until 3am this morning and didn't get to finish what I'm typing.

Anyway, let's talk about our debate.

So, debate was fun, debate was cool, debate was crazy, and debate was stressful.

Preparations were done quite thoroughly, I think. We had like, the most meetings among the whole class I guess. Yeah, very semangat!! xD

And bleh, I knew I should have prepared myself earlier, lol. Lack of training caused my hands to trembled even though I know there shouldn't be anything to be nervous about!! Damn. I don't feel nervous, but my heart just pumped so fast that it made me nervous.

Will this be our, or my last debate? I'm not sure, but most likely. But it was interesting. Well, for my debate, I'd say it was kinda breath-taking, since we have Lizzie we were like 'woah it's show time!' when she started her rebuttal. Hmmm. But the funniest one was Chel's team where Chel and Jiri went rebutting at the speed of a bullet train. Jiri's one was particularly harsh, slapping the opponents with questions like, 'Your point contradicts your first speaker's point, aren't you slapping his point?' and 'What are you doing actually?'

Well then, that's it for now. Time to clear up that pile of assignments!!!

Curtains Up 2010 at PJLA

It's a delayed post due to all sorts of reasons. Nevertheless, it's here!!!

Uno

Mmmm... Sexy.

Went to college to arrange my timetable today. After that we went to Korean Street Cafe to have lunch with Jhe Yee, Kirly, Jane, and Eloise.

Had so much fun playing Uno Stacko. It was absolutely hilarious to see Jhe Yee and Jane going so stress to pull out the pieces... And evil plot was evil indeed, fufufu, I love the Double piece!!!!

Our highest record was 25 levels!!! Except for the last game, every game ended with a scream from all of us... LOL Good thing we had those blinds around us, or else it's soooo embarrassing!!! xD

Jhe Yee!!!

And so, my first semester has ended, and we're given a 1.5 months of holiday.

Will start working tomorrow at my dad's office. Don't like working there... =____= Always eat outside food is bad as well, haiz... Hopefully Xiao Mi will give me work to do at home, then I work watch drama while working!!! Muahahahahhaha!!!

Birthday Outing at the Garden

Meh. This place is full of spider webs while the other blog is so much more livelier. It's 1st June. I just don't feel like blogging my life. It's like, I'm getting tired of doing this and yet, I know I want to record down as detail as possible.

Ugh.

Went to the Garden to celebrate Chelsia and Karyn's a few-days belated birthdays. Quite stupid of us to not thought of celebrating Voon's one, which is on 3rd June together. Ah well.

Shopping at Nose~ xD

Group pic~ Love the lighting!!! But there's a lady's butt behind us!!!!!! D:

We got a small room and only 3 mics for 8 persons, urgh, evil redbox refused to give us more mics... But it was an awesome K-session!!!!! Haven't been to Karaoke ever since my last outing with Cleste~ And now that Voon mentioned, 90% of the songs I chose to sing are really fast... =.=||| It's not that I only like rock and fast music but it's just that the ballad types are not in the list!!!! Ah why ah why!!!!!!

The food there, was decent. Though dunnoe where went wrong that our lunch buffet ticket became tea buffet ticket. How sad!! Good thing I had a bread from Lavender's when we were at Mid Valley. But Papa didn't. She was starving as if her energy level depends of her stomach's fullness. Awww... We laughed so much when all of us took turns to check the food when it was 3pm. Yes, hungry and desperate people coming through. Even the worker knew what we were up to when we wandered around the buffet area.

The birthday girls with their presents~

Cutting the cake~

Left Redbox around 4:45 and reached my car opposite college about 30 minutes later. End of an awesome outing~

Reporting

It's passed mid-may already, and in a month's time, I'd probably be spending my afternoon with some crazy girls shopping around Sunway after our last exam BIS, the same one I took this morning, and coincidentally both test are held on the 18th as well as the last test and exam for this sem, interesting.

The BIS test today wasn't that tough as I imagine. I was pretty stressed up for not memorising the stupid kinds of systems in the reading materials we are given. Instead, I spent my whole morning and the first part of afternoon reading 5 volumes of Switch, 9 chapters of Kingdom Hearts and 22 pages of Monochrome Factor, watching 1 episode of Kaichou wa Maid sama, and made a summary post for Monochrome Factor.

Good thing was, most of what I read came out and what I didn't come across wasn't out. Seriously, how much luck can a person possess? I actually went and ctrl+c ctrl+v some answers from the review assessment/google (which we were not allowed to do so and were informed by the lecturers after they discovered the rule) and rephrase them. Full marks are not easy to score but I doubt I'll do too badly so cheers.

So far, most of our test results are out except for our latest law test.
Econs quiz: 3.3/5
Econs mid-sem: 18/20
Acc mid-sem: 20.8/25
Law quiz: 10/15
Law mid-sem: 18/20

Not too happy with the quiz result but meh, they were the first 2 quizzes I had so *inserts excuses*.

Right now I'm just hoping to find out our assignments result. Other than my BIS assignment which I got 11.8/15, the rest are still in the dark given that how tough it can be for our busy lecturers to evaluate them...

I'm so restless and I get bored so easily these days. =____=
I'm practically sleeping through every lecture (applying the law of sleep more=better grades) and I've completely given up on accounts class, which I spent my 2 hours sexually harassing entertaining Peanut. I feel like doing loads of things and yet... The energy of yes-let's-do-it just seem slip away like a leaking balloon.

It's time to get myself more organized,
and so I thought.

I need to...

Woke up late today.

Got up at 7.35am with a shock from my sis saying, ' do you know Lizzie's been waiting for you?'

I bet you've watch a lot of movies, so there's no need for me to described what I did or how I did whatever people in hurry would do.

Left house around 7.40+ am. Got stuck at Western Digital, and so we chose to use the bridge today. Waited for like 10 minutes at the traffic light, and it was around 7.50am.

Lecture's starting at 8.00am!!! D= But we managed to arrive, or maybe pass by would be more appropriate, college at 8.00~ And finally we were in the lecture hall at 8.10am!!!

But Ms. Hannah ended the lecture at 8.30!!!! WT*tweet!* We might as well just miss the whole thing... So much for the rush...

Then... I need to pee as I've yet to use the toilet. >.>

Fyi, I need to pee is a phrase commonly used by the sakais, particularly Peanut, which was started by Jiri Ng. The image above is just a sad case of a hacked account and abusing the phrase.

That's it for today. Right now, I need to sleep. Good night. xD

Birthday Bash

The preparations were gruesome. I mean, you have to brainstorm to think of what to get for 6 people in (hopefully) one shopping session which might last for a whole day. It didn't turn out as we expected.

Feeling very lazy, especially *coughs coughs* never mind who, we thought of just throwing them a nice meal and that's it. But thanks to Mama, Papa, and those weirdos on my direct family side, we ended up buying presents for them.

It came with Voon's sms about ah Pay's neck tie. Then Papa's invitation for the shopping session. And after that Voon's sms about Papa's puzzle. Followed up by Bling's body mist, Annie's photo frame materials, Eloise's scarf, and Yang's T-shirt. And lastly, Annie's fully last-minute-assembled-photo frame.

Since I'm the smartest, brightest, and most brilliant of all *coughs coughs*, I had to take up the mission of getting the frame done. (I tak beh tahan seeing people like *ahem ahem* doing, must take up the mission by myself cause it's for Annie it has to be perfect.)

Amy playing with the frame borders while I was working really hard, during the lecture, on another one.... =.=

The new INTI. So pretti.
All hand-made!!! The cutting of the board, the anyaman-ing, the glue-sticking, the tape-sticking, the measuring, the designing, and other little stuffs. Credits to those mad women around me for giving me all sorts of weird inspirations.

Here, I do remember mentioning that Tee passed away on a very hot afternoon on 3rd of March. D: RIP May you 2 enjoy your life in heaven.

Here's the chocolate moose.

And here's the tale of the moose:

2 hungry people, well make it one hungry people and one not so hungry people, who were Priya and I, went to Baker's to enjoy our breakfast. And so Priya ordered Baker's delicious Nasi Lemak Rendang (it's just this terribly good I swear!!), I was walking around the shop, constantly staring at the moose I've been dying to eat.

But no, the weigh master's roaring voice thundered through my inner soul and I've always forbid myself from buying the calorie bomb. And then, this wonderful thought struck me. In the end, Priya and I bought the moose to test its qualification while enjoying the lovely desert.

Quoted from Rachel Lum, 'Half the calories(& $$), twice the fun!'

Lovely chocolate is lovely.

And then, we started thinking of the wild drawings we could request to be drawn on the moose. Finally, we made the orders and went back to class with a glee on our faces.

End of the chocolatey tale.

Moving on, we had to make the reservation for 15+, which turned out to be a total of 17 people, at Korean Street Cafe, a full house~ Hurray!!! xD Now, why KSC? It's because the 1st floor's rooms were awesome and homely, and we get to take off our shoes. xD

And the day arrived at last, which I nearly couldn't come due to *ahem ahem*.

But never mind that. Went to college around 9.30 to found out that I left the second half of the wish card was left at home. How traumatising. But thanks to the Library printer for providing me free paper, we managed to signed it before the ceremony. But that would be very near the end of the party so let's skip first.

Mr. Pay was the first birthday star we met on that day, and mind you, he was on time (what a shock). After fooling around with the toys provided in the KSC, Peanut came with the moose safely tucked in the kitchen below. And so the 4 mad people continued their mad game with the wigs, toy sword, air-filled baseball bat, and the shiny bow hat.

Then CerTong arrived, Chelsia came, Amy came, Bling and Annie reached and etc... Everyone except sakai 37 and Jiri Lipas. Never minding them, we ordered our lunch and it came in a swift, the moment the 2 arrived. (Great service!)

With everyone there, I could finally gathered all the signatures and wishes on the card and finished the photo frame. Aw, too bad I couldn't sit with Annie with my secret mission going on. But I suspect that she suspected something. Hahar. Did you Annie??

And yes, we get to see this kind of spontaneous fights going around... lol

After our very stomach-filling meal, the KSC gave us free Korean ice-creams!!! But nobody's allowed to eat before the 6 people gave their birthday speeches!!!

Then, it was the present giving ceremony~ Hohoho!!! So many presents!!!

Like a Xmas party...

Ah Yang wearing his new shirt!!!
He looks very manly in it!!! Maybe it's because the shirt brought out his muscle outline, but he said it's a bit tight in the shoulder... Oops, not my fault. lol

Then we took out the moose~~ Look at Bling!!! So cute hor!!

Papa and Annie!!!

OMG!! Annie!!! How come you've got a small patch on your head that looks bald!!!! Is it the genius syndrome??? Now we know what to get for your birthday next year....

Look at Mr. Pay wishing! How cute!!! xD

All the birthday people blowing their candles~

Papa force-feeding my dog the moose she couldn't finish... lol

Mr. Pay and his smiley cake, the lady failed to draw the pictures nicely.
EPIC FAIL.

And he's the only to finish it alone!!! lol

And WHUT is this? Do you really have to write my name (So BIG somemore) and stick it on the entrance???

Ok, I have a very lengthy post here, so I shall stop here. *phew* Needs to work on the Potato Project I've put aside for some time...

For the last time, Happy Birthday to the March babies~ And to Ah Yang (the last March boy, in college) Happy Birthday!!!! xD

A Very Late CNY post

It's now or never. And so I've finally mustered up the determination to finish this post.

Pre-CNY
Went to Sogo to shop for clothes with my mum a week before we went back to Penang! It was so crowded!! And there, I searched for my dream bag on the lowest floor. I was so disappointed that nothing suits my taste, until, it went 'kira-kira' amongst other bags!!! Whoot~ But it's so frigging expensive!!!! D: RM279!!!!

And so, I've started my bag fund, starting from my cousin!! xD It's nice to have an older cousin who's close to you~ :3 Love ya Honey~ (I'm clutching it the moment I'm typing this!!)

Went shopping in Subang Parade on the next day and bought my CNY red shirt~

Spent the next 2 days in my dad's office trying to fix the wireless router for him, but stupid thing refused to work so I returned on the 2nd day to do it and it still screamed 'epic-failure'.

Went to Atria for a hair cut on Wednesday, before the day we took off to Penang~

Was really busy on Thurs. Firstly, we took Potato to the vet for her vaccine, then we picked up my sis, packed our luggage into the car, drive to Selayang, buy the crab, and finally we're hitting the road!!!

Friday, 11th Feb
Went to a restaurant and requested the chef to murder cook the crab for us! Since it was so big that no one dare to cook it in case we screwed up.

Sea view~ Twilight!! Not that Twilight but another Twilight!! :D

We caught an Alaskan crab!!! xD
Haha. No la... We bought it from Selayang and drove this creature all the way up to Penang. It survived for 48 hours +(which should be 4 hours) in the fridge, buried in ice!!

And here we were, 'Live Long and Prosper' my brother's style, waiting for others to arrive for the feast~

The sad crab. It weighted 2kg!!!

Yummy~ It may be big in size but its meat was tender and soft~ Ah lovely lovely crab, may you rest in peace in our stomachs!!

My sis and my niece~ Sleeping in a similar fashion on our way back! LOL
除夕
Went to a restaurant to had our reunion dinner. Going out for dinner was nice, but I do miss those time where we had it at home. Everyone would help out with the tables, chairs, preparing the food, and cooking. But that was before all my cousins left the main house... D:

Boo-ya! 2 crazy aunties bullying playing with their niece.

More disappointing was, I didn't get to sit with my honey cousin. But food was decent and it was still nice to be with everyone. :)

Went back to the main house after dinner and did the usual thing. Prepare the pineapple, candles, joysticks, and etc to 'bai-bai' (not bye-bye!!). Had a lot of fun toying with the little devil's sister, who shares the same fate of being less-loved by my unbelievably 'pian xin' grandmother. I was much more fortunate compared to my other cousins as I was the second most-loved granddaughter.

After finished 'bai-bai-ng, it was time for 红包!! xD But I was busy as usual, seeing that I'm such an genius. (lol) Connected to my cousins in Canada with Skype for the technologically illiterate such as my uncle (and his wife) who refused to use Skype. lol It sure was amusing to see them staring greedily at my cousin's face on the screen.

初一
Didn't do much on that day since the Cantonese tradition forbids us to visit others on that day. So stayed at home, until my outgoing grandmother can't stand the boredom and whisked us out~

初二
Went to visit my maternal grandparents~ My bunch of maternal cousins who share the same surname as mine were there also!!

As usual, we had the contest of 'the longest wisher'. LOL So tiring for us to sing a continuous stream of wishes.

My younger cousin, the eldest among them. He shares the same ego of an elder sibling as I do. And we certainly agree on a lot of things since he's only a year younger than me. lol

Spent the whole day surfing there and reading magazines. Then we went to another relatives' house.

You don't get to eat this in Canada!!!!
Actually, this photo was taken to make my cousin in Canada to drool in front of her laptop. But I got very lazy and it never reach her. lol

初三
Went to Jusco to shop with our niece tagging along.

Evil monster is very evil and stubborn. Banyak susah nak shopping with her.

Got back in the afternoon and went to my other grandparents' apartment again!

These tress are so pretty with the yellow flowers blooming on them!! I even saw a yellow 'sakura' tree on a highway!!! It had so many flowers that I couldn't see the leaves at all!!! So pretty!!

Went back to the main house for dinner, and when we want to leave the house, the devil was still asleep. D: Waking her up and getting her out of the house was a serious pain-in-the-s. Urgh. You really can't imagine how difficult this kid is.

初四
My mum planned to leave on this day, but she too wanted to stay back and so we stayed back. xD

Cadbury Gold.
Bought a box of it from Jusco since it was heavily discounted.
It tasted nice alright. But the shape and pattern wasn't pretty as the surface doesn't look smooth, which is a disadvantage comparing to some other gold colour chocolate (who need not to worry about its appearance).

It was delicious, but not to the extent that we're addicted, so unless someone buys one for us, we won't be buying it anymore. lol

初五
Left Penang early in the morning with 4 boxes of 600cc's secret recipe in our car. Reached home around 11. Soon Lizzie arrived and we went to Sogo while my mum went to work.

Went to check out my dream bag for n times before we finally left the building and headed to the LRT station.

Had to take it since my mum is still working and obviously couldn't fetch us.

That night, went to Old Town at Taman Megah for the gathering. Finally saw KwanHanFail after almost a year!!! And at last, I got the money he owed me for a year!!!

初六
Went to Raub to visit my XiaoMi's mama, who is my grandmother as well. Met a lot of unknown relatives and got my pocket full of Ang Paus~ xD

初七 & 初八
Didn't do much except for the usual things we do on a weekend.

初九
Went to college to pay the car park fee, which was unfortunately unavailable anymore. D: I didn't know they changed the payment date... T.T

Anyway, found out this.

Annie's the rare gem to get this award which wasn't won by anyone for a few years and probably the last (seeing that UFP is no more d) to get the award for RM500 voucher!!! Annie you're amazing!!!! But why aren't you a guy!!!!

初十
A normal day which includes rotting at home surfing the net.

十一
Orientation for my Curtin Course!!!! Met a lot of people I failed to see during the 3 months break!!!

After that, went out with them for a movie at Sunway~

十二
Went to college again, to changed my CIB to BIS. The Curtin system lagged throughout the whole process. Something simple that could be finished within 15 minutes time strecthed for hours. D:

十三
It was a public holiday, so all my mother side's family went to visit another relative together. Except for the durian ice-cream buffet there, nothing interesting happened.

十四
Went shopping at Tropicana City Mall. Had lunch at.... Sorry I forgot despite being there for a number of times already... Hehe

My seafood spaghetti. Honestly, all I want to eat was the prawns. So the mussels, clams, and sotongs went to my mum's plate. :3

Oooooooooooh!!!
Pork Burger!!!!  Finally in Malaysia!!! Rejoice people!!!

十五
Last day of CNY!! Did nothing extraordinary.
1st March
End of CNY.

And this concludes my CNY for 2010~
And now,
I shall get some sleep and wake up early at 6.30 for tomorrow's class.
Good night people~
