Surprises

Ok, here comes another once in a while post of mine.
As much as I want to update frequently, the lazy bones and those inspiration-drained brain cells of mine are doing a fairly good job for making me to stay away from updating...

Anyway, there's some little surprises that just has to be blog-ed.

Moving on.

On Wednesday night, our team Maestro defeated the Hyenas from Taylors by 4 - 2 (I think it's 4 - 3. But the official site says 4 - 2. An error?? What happened to the last game??).

WOW.

Of course we are strong as a team, even though we've lost to them like, err... twice? (counting the matches we had with them with Jun Hsien playing in this year and last year) Though, I think luck might had a bit to do with our victory. lol

Guess what, the magical pink shirt of mine actually works.

Superstitious you say?

I guess so.

But it was very interesting indeed that whenever I bring the pink shirt with me for a match, luck is always on our side. I'm not joking. But then again, luck can only bring one so far, so it's better not to push it too hard.

When we first fought the Hyenas, we lost and I got hit at my thigh which hurt for days. But on the next match, I so happened to wore a pink shirt for practice and brought it along. Damn. We beat the squirrels flat at 7 - 0. Look at that. Not even the Hyenas could do that. And of course, we were so darn lucky as there were quite a few lucky catches on our side. xD

For the third match, the pink shirt was there as well. We won the Vipers at er...forgotten. Finally in our re-match with the Hyenas, we beat them for the first time, with the presence of my lucky pink shirt~

ok, enough pink shirt already. Let's talk about another little surprise.

So, feeling so gleeful for the victory and relieve for finally finishing my management project, I headed to Sunway for a nice karaoke session. Oh gawd, how long has it been since I last hold a mic!!! xD

Too bad for me, Sunway's Redbox system sucks big time and my throat was kinda hoarse from cheering too much the night before. I was delighted to find that Redbox has FMAB's two ED - Ray of Light and Let It Out~ =D

Then, it just sort of happened.

Suddenly Goodbye Days went poof and the screen showed Happy Birthday.

Sooooo...

I was like, Er, what happened to my song?, 'Whose birthday is it?' and did the system go hay wired and screwed up my screen time?

And of course I knew my birthday was around the corner, but the thought of these crazy girls pulling off a surprise on me never seem to cross my mind for a bit.

Then, those who got out of the room returned, with a cake, with candles on it and smirking.

Ohohohoho.

I think I get it.

OMG I can't believe it this people did it.

I was so baffled by them.

Ahahahahahaha yes papa laugh all you like.

Then I blew the candles.

And I had to pick them out with my mouth.

But those annoying pieces of fruit s were in my way, so I had to, sort of, pick and eat them up before I could reach the candles while the sadists hold my arms and tried to smush my face into the cake which I resisted aggressively (well, that explains my sore neck the next day).

But no candle picking is complete without a cake mask.

SO YEAH THEY SMASHED MY FACE INTO THE CAKE IN THE END.

The cake looked like...*points upwards* something like that, when I got up.

There was cream in my nose. Eeeeewww.

Dunnoe how the middle-most-squashed part of cake taste like, I gave it to the highest authority since it was supposedly the best piece available.

Ahahahhaha.

Everyone had a piece of spiced cake.

Ummmm. That's my early birthday surprise.

Of course it doesn't end there. Even Lizzie is already broiling some evil plot against me. Guess what Liz, if you're still wrapping whatever you're wrapping, you can stop it now. Thank you very much, I appreciate your hard work but it's really unnecessary!!!

Heh. Nvm, whatever it is, it'll come eventually, just like my ballet exam.

Dilemma

Back from CDL.

We won the match alright.

But there's something on my mind which I feel that I need to put down in words to de-clutter my brain, otherwise I'll be fuming in my sleep.

Ranting beware.
Whoever from CDL's reading this, you need to know I'm perfectly sane, and this is my personal blog so don't be offended because I want to vent out here if I can't do it in the court.

CDL 2010

CDL 2010's starting tomorrow.
Hmmmm~
First prize for Blogger is a Lenovo laptop, an internship for somewhere and some vouchers.
Not very sure about that, but will check them out tomorrow.
If it's true, well, I need to work hard for the lappy I guess. who cares about the internship? I take that back. It might be good.
Not sure about Lenovo lappy, but still, it's a laptop. How bad can it be?
If I don't like.... I guess I can always sell it off....
Wait, I haven't got the prize.
Back to reality.
Let's work real hard.

Snitches and Twitches

What I need to do now.

I paid Rm65 to buy a Jersey with my name on it, and to learn how to modify it.

No thanks to Lucas.

I've been taking off my shirt and putting it on again and again for countless times on Wednesday. I used my lucky pink shirt as the sample and re-sewed the side at least 4 times... Urgh. Chopped off the sleeves until they're at least half of its original length. The cutting of the jersey differs a bit from my pink shirt, so I kept re-doing it until I realize that the shape of the sleeves needs to change. Really smart of me.

Stitching, un-stitching, sewing, picking, drawing, measuring, I actually abandon food to do them... A bit over-concentrated... lol

The best part was when it was finally 8, Lizzie's coming in 45 minutes, I haven't eat my dinner, the bottom part of the jersey was not done, only 1 side of the sleeves was done and both ends of the sleeves were yet to be trimmed. I started to do everything faster, first by removing the hay-wired thread and drew the line. Then I stuffed a sleeve onto the machine and started sewing.

And great, the machine got jammed, for some unknown reasons. I removed everything to check and put them back. Once again, I started sewing, and the machine jammed with a 'CRACK!' and wouldn't budge no matter how hard I stomp on the accelerator-thingy or spin the wheel, and the needle was halfway through the sleeve.

Great.

I whisked Savy to do something for me while I quickly crammed some food down my throat... 20 minutes left. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!! Lizzie's coming... Another 10 minutes passed and we found the needle broken and the jersey's stuck onto the machine... T.T

GREAT. (>.<)lll In the end we managed to pull it out and I had Savy to trim the ends of the sleeves to make them balance, and off I went to dodgeball with the un-done jersey... 'Oh My Gosh! It looks so modified!!' Someone compared my half-done jersey with her bat-sized one.

'Haha, yeah. But it's not done...' *prays that the sleeve won't fall apart...*

'But it won't fall apart?'

*I certainly hope so*

We got the boys to sign the Thank You cards for Ms. Malini and Ms Tina and it was still very early... So we stalked *...* . lol

Then, I finally got my Crocs voucher~~ xD

A pair of free Prepair!

Ok... It looks a bit crumple. Don't blame me... T.T

We watched the game between the Hyenas and Pirahnazz. LOL The supporters were so noisy!!!

Hyenas! Pirahnazz! Hyenas!! Pirahnazz!!

There you go, all going 'nuts'. lol They rhymes. So cool.

It was getting real late, not to mention dark when it was finally our turn.

'We've got only 3 marshals, so be honest.' wow, interesting game we had.

*poof* goes the light, and darkness descended.

'They turned off the air-con!' went Lucas and the temperature rose.

Very eco-friendly match indeed.

Dunnoe why, but the match felt less stressful. Maybe because there weren't that many people staring and it was darker than usual that I wasn't stage-frighten? lol

When the match finally ended, we were happy that we won but I was even happy that it was time to go home. My dad sounded pretty demanding back on the phone...

The funniest part was, as we were happily bouncing on tiptoes out of the building, we were greeted warmly by a torrent of waterfall, which I wonder why didn't I notice when we're inside...

Everyone laughed at the rain in disbelieve, with the usual people swearing at it. Great timing. Lucas was decisive, being the one to run into the pouring rain after we recovered from the shock. lol But Lizzie and I didn't follow him, so he returned. Lizzie had the huge cards with her. It was late, it was dark, and it was raining.

Amusingly, Lizzie stuffed the cards under her jersey for maximum protection. Thank god hers wasn't modified yet, either wise it'll be too small to fit the cards! xD Then we started running together. And that's when the voucher got a bit of external force acted on it...

The game result!!! Wow, the rain was heavy and it was cold. All Lucas' car mirrors were foggy. xD

Interesting day we had...

XD

What should I say?

XD

That's all.

Will update post.

Sorry for the very late post... Here's the match with Ronins~~

Again, another tough opponent.

The first game lasted for 3 minutes. Guna was out first, then Richard. But Aamos managed to kill a Ronin. 4 Maestros left facing 5 Ronins. We stayed low in a defending position, waiting for the Ronins to start their attack. When the time limit was almost up, the Ronins started their attacks. We counter attacked at once, but after some time, Brian was out. We kept ourselves alert and watch the Ronins' attacks. But still, Lucas was knocked out, leaving Je Hui and Aamos struggling on the court.

They remained on the court for quite a while, but Aamos was left alone when Je Hui was finally out. It was a gruesome fight for him. He alone had to retrieve 'ammo', defend himself and counter attack his opponents. Despite the odds, he put up a fight. At first, the Ronins attacked him one by one. But after a minute had passed, they were getting impatient and begun raining balls at him.

It all happened in a flash.

Aamos evaded 2 continuous attacks by running from one end of the court to the other end. As he sprinted to the opposite to pick up a stray ball, he ducked to dodge another attack narrowly. Another Ronin then shot him a ball, but he blocked it with his ball and charged forward to attack that Ronin.

Image

Grabbing the opportunity, another Ronin dashed forward to ambush Aamos. By instinct, Aamos slide to the ground and rolled over to evade. But with the upper hand of having more players, a third Ronin tore across the court and leaped into the air to perform a Kamikaze. His attack missed Aamos by inches. But before Aamos could get back to his feet and defend himself, the fourth Ronin hastily rushed towards him and gave Aamos a killer shot.

Score: 1-0

Our spirits were not damped despite our lost and continued to fight rebelliously.
Image

But the Ronins were really good. In the second game, Elizabeth was out first. We stayed low as long as we could, trying to buy time as we analyse the situation. When time's up, Aamos launched the attack, but he was knock before Marcus could run up to him to guard him. After Marcus evaded an attack, Lucas shot at the Ronin who attacked Marcus. But he jumped and dodged his attack.

Marcus then attack another Ronin who was picking up a stray ball but missed. Lucas then narrowly dodged a ball which went soaring passed inches away from his legs. Marcus was out when a Ronin hit him, leaving 3 Maestros against 6 Ronins.

Lucas aimed and shot at a Ronin, but he accidentally trod on the attack line and was out. This left Guna and Richard on the court. Both of them proceeded carefully. Guna sent a ball flying towards a Ronin and eliminated him. 5 Ronins left. Richard then attack another Ronin, the Ronin counter attacked. Richard tried to catch his ball, but the ball brushed his fingers before he could grab hold of it, he was out too.

Guna was the last one. He attacked a Ronin but missed. Another Ronin immediately seized the chance and charged towards him to perform a Kamikaze. Guna was out. The Ronins prevailed once more.

Score: 2-0

Our spirits were tainted by the fear of losing, but some encouraging words from our captain revived them. In the third game, Richard was knocked out in the first 10 seconds, but not before he killed a Ronin. Aamos swiftly knocked out the Ronin who killed Richard, making the number of players of both teams equal. As Richard exits the court, Guna fired a ball and killed another Ronin.

3 Ronins left.

Understanding the unfavourable situation, the Ronins stopped their attacks and eyed us attentively with their minds running rapidly. Not wanting to lose the game due to rashness, we remained calm and rearranged ourselves. Guna then started the attack, followed by Lucas, but both their shots missed.

With only one ball on our side, we immediately went back to our defend mode, waiting for the Ronins to attack. But Aamos made a risky decision, he charged and fired a shot towards a Ronin who was waiting to kill near the attack line. Another Ronin down.

5 Maestros versus 2 Ronins.

Finally, we were able to get hold of 2 balls. Guna fired his at a Ronin but it missed. Shortly after that, Aamos sent his ball speeding towards the same Ronin, who tried to catch it.

Image

But the ball simply recoiled from his hands and he was out. One Ronin left.

She gathered all her balls and attacked Guna, Su Yang and Aamos who stood together at that time. But Guna successfully caught her ball and she was out!!

Score: 2-1

Image
We re-entered the court with our spirits burning with hope and confidence after having a short meeting together.

The 4th game started off rather slow. For one whole minute, both teams exchanged few balls but none hit any players. Finally, Guna killed a Ronin, reducing the number of Ronins to 5.

But the Ronins were not sitting ducks waiting to be killed, a Ronin shot a ball at Aamos. Aamos intended to kill it but he missed and the ball killed Lucas who was behind Aamos.

5 on 5.

Both teams stopped their attacks after that, but the Ronins begun the attack when the time limit was almost up. A Ronin attacked Aamos, but Aamos blocked his ball. Richard stepped forward, intending to attack the Ronins, but he retreated on a second thought. When Guna got his hands on a ball and came to aid Richard, Richard attacked the Ronins at once without any hesitation. It knocked out an opponent, leaving 4 Ronins left.

At the same time, Guna and Su Yang ran forward, each aiming at a different opponent and shot their balls at them.
Image

Guna's ball was blocked, Su Yang's opponent evaded his attack. Without delay, Aamos sent his ball at Su Yang's opponent. But it missed as well.

We were 'ball-less' once again. Not wasting any time, the Ronins gathered the balls and started raining balls at us. We quickly retrieved the 'dead' balls. Aamos saw a Ronin showing an opening when he was throwing his ball, not wasting the chance, he sprinted to the attack line to ambush him. Aamos' attack missed. Another Ronin seized the chance to knocked him out. But Aamos saw that Ronin charging towards himself, instinctively, he retreated backwards hastily and evaded the attack just in time. Before he could catch a breath, another Ronin fired a ball at him. Luckily, Aamos spotted his attack too and dodged it without thinking.

After a chain of attack, the Ronins seemed to have slowed down. But Guna didn't, he dashed forward and shot his ball at a Ronin and eliminated him. Not giving the Ronins any time to catch a breath, Richard fired his ball at a Ronin, but it got blocked. 2 opponent fired their balls at Su Yang together, Su Yang was killed. Seeing that one of them was near the attack line and 'ball-less', Aamos and Richard returned the favour to him. Aamos' ball hit him squarely at his chest and he was out.

4 Maestros versus 2 Ronins.

Wanting to end the game fast, Aamos threw a ball towards an opponent right after he picked it up when he spotted it after his attack. Although the opponent tried to seized it, the ball bounced off his fingers and he was out. 1 Ronin left.

We attacked the remaining Ronin continuously. But she was really good and dodged and blocked all the attacks. But the game was given a full stop when Aamos finally hit her leg after a whole minute of 4 on 1.

Score: 2-2

A decisive battle.

We were thrilled to have a come back and yet anxious at the same time. The final game started off with every player on their highest alert. Everyone was so vigilant that no one wanted to start the attack. The marshals were waving hands at us, urging us to begin attacking.

Image
Both teams remained still until the Ronins could wait no more and launch the attack.

But they missed, Lucas quickly grab the ball and joined the shooting squad. Even though we had more balls, we still waited to prepare ourselves for the attack. After some time, Richard led the attack by shooting at a Ronin, but it missed her by inches.

Image
Lucas then attacked the opponents but it missed as well.

By then, we were left with only 2 balls. It was our turn to stay on guard. 2 Ronins attacked us, everyone survived the attack. A ball was blocked and it bounced back to the Ronins while the other one was rolling astray on our side. It's back to 6 on 6 with equal power distribution. A Ronin attacked us, it missed again and we got another ball on our side.

The flow of the balls was so slow that even the marshals were getting impatient and kept gesturing us to throw. After a few balls was thrown, Richard knocked out a Ronin. Deciding that it was time to stop waiting, both teams attacked each other at a faster speed. Guna was out when he was hit while retreating backwards after he attacked a Ronin. Later, Lucas was out too when a Ronin caught Lucas' nearly-slip-away-from-his-hands' ball. The 'was-killed-by-Richard' Ronin immediately returned to the court gleefully while Lucas exited.

4 Maestros versus 6 Ronins.

Soon, Je Hui was out as well, leaving Aamos, Su Yang, and Richard facing a full team of Ronins. Aamos was out next, but luckily, the number of Ronins had been reduced to 5. After a long moment of fruitless attacks that lasted for at least 2 minutes, Richard and Su Yang successfully knocked out 2 Ronins, reducing their number to 3.

However, Su Yang was out as a Ronin hit him at his leg. Thus, Richard was forced to faced 3 opponents alone. Every Maestro was cheering for Richard and praying hard in their hearts. Not disappointing us, he abandoned the ball in his hands to catch the one speeding towards him.

Image
Richard giving the ball a warm welcome!!

Instantly, Guna re-entered the battle field and joined Richard in the fight with the Maestros cheering to support them. Very much alive after his resurrection, Guna attacked the Ronins together with Richard.

As everyone was anxious and nervous to see the outcome, the game was put to a stop abruptly, the time limit for a game was up. It was a draw as both teams had 2 players alive. As a tie wasn't allow, we were instructed to have a 'Death Match'.

The rules were simple, 3 players on each team, all we need to do to win the match is to kill one opponent.

The tension of the game was so high that it was almost suffocating everyone. The 'Chosen Ones', Guna, Richard, and Aamos entered the battle arena, their eyes shining with the determination of prevailing the match.

The Death Match started off without further delay. All the players tore across the court to seize their balls and retreated promptly when they got their balls. The Ronins started the attack first, but Aamos blocked it. Aamos inched closer to the attack line and put on guard when the Ronins showed the slightest sign of attacking him. As the Ronins focused on him, Richard fired his ball at them but it missed.

The Ronins counter attacked but they missed as well. Keeping themselves cool and calm, the Maestros kept themselves in a defending position, ready for any attack. After the Ronins had a brief discussion among themselves, a Ronin attacked Aamos but he blocked the attack with his ball.

The Death Match was so intense that those not on the court were also sweating. The step-by-step ball-throwing continued slowly, but both teams still couldn't get any opponent out. The tension continued to dominate the court, until Aamos' ball hit a Ronin's leg.

For that moment, everyone seemed to freeze at the sight, our brains stopped so abruptly that we were rendered to speechless and couldn't think properly. But not the 'Chosen Ones'. Guna, Richard, and Aamos were still alert and they were waiting for what seemed like a century to them for the marshals to react.

But it seemed like the marshals were confused. At that moment, the ball did hit the Ronin's leg, but it was so low that no one could figure out whether did the ball bounced on the floor or not. Not waiting for the marshal to figure that out and the Ronins to recover from the shock, Richard fired his ball at the same Ronin who got hit by Aamos' 'survival-status-unclear' ball.

The moment the ball hit the Ronin, the marshals blew their whistles and we flooded into the court jubilantly.

Our third victory!!!!

Sorry for copying and paste from the Forum... But I just have no inspiration of rewriting the whole match for the second time...

Pink Power

Loooooooooong post ahead.
Read at your own risk.
Sorry for the delay.

'你还没走啊?' My grandma asked.
'嗯...' "Hmmm... where's Lucas..."

*Phone rings*

'Hello...'
'Je Hui come out now!!! We're outside now!!'
'Coming coming!!'

Waving goodbye to my sister and slipping my shoes on, I half-hopped and half-ran into Lucas' car, with those lover birds calling 'Slow down, no need to rush...'

Right, no need to rush.

That is, until someone informed us that the game started earlier than scheduled.

'*y2@d&e6%n#b02^'
There went Lucas, cursing the drivers in front of us.

'Ah no Lucas!! Car CAR!! Careful!!! Eeeeeeeeeeekkk!!'
And that's Lizzie hugging her bag, shrieking while Lucas drove dangerously.

'SH1T!'
That's Lucas, again. His hands tapped the steering while he stared at the traffic light, frustrated.

Finally, the bloody apple turned green and Lucas squeezed his car into the gap he could find while the car behind horned at him.

Gradually, we escaped the fruit jam and the small car was running swiftly on the highway, dodging and overtaking other cars. Inside the car, Lizzie and I were looking at the clock, counting seconds, warming up our hands as much as we could and preparing to get out of the car once we arrive.

At last, Lucas stopped his car near the entrance.

We hopped off his car and sprang across the well-maintained lawn like a pair of big, yellow flying squirrels. Ignoring the stares of the customers eating outside of Tony Roma's, we shot passed them, our over-sized sunflower-coloured jerseys flapping in the wind.

Our jaws plunged to the ground with a loud 'clank' before we could catch them, or maybe we never thought of catching them at all. Everyone was waiting on the 1st floor, watching the second match, no wait, the second match haven't even started, the court was used to promote Crocs products. A mini game was held and Crocs was giving out free shoes to the winner...

'What did we ran for?' We asked, still out of breath.

'Better early than late,' said Guna.

'Right... Then what are we doing here...?'

*looks at Marcus, seizes camera, and snaps*

Very big boobs indeed. I've been waiting to catch him in this.

Sexual harassment??

The second game didn't start until another half an hour had passed. It was Hyenas from Taylors' versus Mitan.

The game was really violent. Took a video of it, hopefully it'll help us in defeating them... Awkward leh... Jun Hsien, Zhen Ming, and Jerard are on the team...

After the long wait, our match finally begun.

It was lousy... We were out in 2 minutes... I was the last one, and out after I failed to catch a ball... I think the guys need to give us more ball-catching practice...

1-0

But second game was better!! We lasted for more than 5 minutes. Guna was the first one to be out... *if only Su Yang caught that ball in time...* It was pretty dangerous, especially when a ball went flying passed just inches from my head, I wasn't even on the court!!!

5 Maestros against 6 Devil Dukes.

In another moment, Aamos was out when the opponent caught his ball. Later, Lucas was knocked out. Then, Richard caught a ball, and Guna was back and killed a guy instantly, then Richard murdered the girl. But right after that, Su Yang was out when he tried to catch a ball but failed.

3 against 3.

Richard, Guna, and Elizabeth were left. However, Guna caught a ball!! And Aamos was revived!!! Pretty much of the time was gone when both teams waited for each other to start the attack, until the time limit's up and we were forced to start the attack with one of the two balls we had. The opponent counter-attacked, but Guna fired a ball at the pink shirt guy when he showed an opening. But Richard caught the ball pink shirt guy shot and Lucas was resurrected!!

5 against 1!!

Both teams share the same strategy: we wait.

Everyone on the court had a ball, except for Lizzie, a ball for her was lying alone near the line...

Ready!!! SHOOT!!!

After a torrent of flying balls towards the last opponent form the Maestros, we ended the game, with victory!!!

Wheeeeeee~~~

1-1

We lasted at least 6 minutes for third third game. Everyone kept their guard high and proceeded with precaution. Both teams got their balls, but no one dare to start the attack. The wait was horrible, threatening glares bounced everywhere, sweat droplets sneaked silently down our back, and the crowds stayed mute as they watched silently.

The marshals urged us to attack, stressing the already tense situation to its limit. Everyone waited until we could wait no longer, so Aamos signalled Guna to launch the attack, in desperation to end the driving-us-crazy chapter.

But the opponent remained still, and without a doubt, swallowed our ball, leaving us with two balls only. They feigned some attacks, but they weren't keen to give their balls away so soon. When they finally started their attack, Aamos counter-attacked instantly. The target backed off and blocked the ball, without any hesitation, he fired the ball at Aamos, and killed him.

As the crowds were cheering at that guy's victory, Richard fired a ball at an opponent hoping to catch him off-guard. The orange shirt guy didn't waste any time and ambushed Richard. But Richard turned around hastily and saw the ball flying towards him.

I see you!!!!

He caught the ball by reflex and the orange shirt guy was out while Aamos was back!! Not wasting anytime, Richard threw the ball he just caught at the opponent but missed while Aamos re-entered the battle and quickly grabbed a stray ball and attacked the guy who 'murdered' him once.

The flow of flying balls confused the marshals and they paused the game, formed a circle, and started whispering among themselves, leaving dear Lizzie questioning Marcus 'what happened?' again and again.

The marshal stopping the game as they need to clear something...

When the confusion was cleared, it was ball-down time and we had to sort of 're-start' the match from where we left. It was, another freaking loooooooooooooooooooooooong wait we had to endured. Richard broke the ice by firing a ball towards an opponent, which to our delight, killed him.

6 Maestros with 2 balls against 4 Devil Dukes with 4 balls.

Not a friendly situation. Until the tall guy shot a ball at us did we counter-attacked with a shot. The next shot from the opponent killed Lucas. After a few balls switched owners, we're left with two balls, again.

After some freaking moments again, the Devil Dukes placed themselves in a defensive position at both corners of their side. They broke their formation as they decided to start attacking, Guna took the opportunity to attacked the girl but didn't hit her.

The opponent launched a torrent of balls at us in a sudden, but we safely evaded all of them. Then both teams took their time to restructure their formations. The tall guy attacked first, Richard dashed forward in attempt to attack him but backed off swiftly after thinking twice. As the tall guy attacked us again, Aamos and Richard sent their balls speeding towards him at the same moment. He caught Aamos' ball but couldn't evade Richard's, he and Aamos were out but Orange guy was back.

In and Out.

4 (Richard, Guna, Su Yang and me) Maestros versus 4 Devil Dukes. A few more rounds of ball-throwing took place and Richard knocked out a guy who attacked us (him and me, who was behind him).

Yes!!!! OUT!

Another Duke down. 3 more to go. We waited for a bit, then Guna and Richard threw some balls, *with a glee*, Richard knocked out the girl. 2 left, but they have 5 balls... They started the attack as they had more balls, but Su Yang *YAY* successfully caught a ball and sent the thrower out!!! Lucas was back on the field!!!

Wheeeeeeeeee~~

1 left. That guy hid at the corner in a squatting position with two balls in his hands. A few rounds of raining-balls passed and that guy ended up with 4 balls.

There's Richard staring at that guy, who was hiding at the corner.

He shot some balls, we did the same, it was a long winded nightmare we wanted to end that badly. At last, Guna caught the ball he fired at him and we won the third game!!!

2-1

The fourth game ended faster, it only lasted around 3 minutes. We were exhilarated, one more victory and we'll win the match. This time, we started the attack. The opponent didn't hold back and counter-attacked instantly. Richard tried to catch a ball fired by an opponent but it bounced off his hands and hit the ground, he was out.

5 Maestros facing a full team of Devil Duke.

It was a fierce fight. We were a bit restless while the enemies were highly alert. After a few more feign attacks and flying balls passed by, Aamos was knocked out, once again, before he could return to defend position after firing a ball. Leaving Lucas, Guna, Su Yang, and Lizzie. Then balls down once more for some unknown reason.

Waiting for the marshal's cue...

Immediately when the game restarted, Guna fired his ball towards the opponent but missed. Then, in a few seconds of ball-rain, Lucas was out.

3 Maestros versus 6 Devils... *Eeeeeeeeeeekk!!*

What happened next went pretty fast. Guna shot, Su Yang dodged, and they were out. Last survivor, Lizzie. Very unfavourable situation indeed. We cheered for her, hoping she can catch a ball. But the moment the balls rained on her she was out.

2-2

The last game at last. Once again, both teams waited patiently, eyeing every movements of the opponents. Finally, time's up, instead of wasting their balls by rolling it to us, the Devils started attacking.

We're not sitting ducks waiting to be killed. We blocked and dodged their balls. Once they're low on ammo, Aamos shot his ball, followed by Guna, who succeed in killing a guy.

KO!!

6 Maestros against 5 Devil Duke

Both teams gave a few more shots, players threw and retreated swiftly and cautiously. Sadly, there weren't any casualties for both teams, until Guna knocked out a guy followed by Richard who knocked out the girl in less then 10 seconds. As the opponent still haven't recover from the shock of losing 2 players in 10 seconds, Guna fired a ball at the guy in the middle and killed him!!!

6 Maestros versus 2 Devil Duke!!

The remaining 2 took refuge in the corner, both with a ball in their hands, and one more in the other hand.

Having too many balls but not using them at all doesn't help them in any way. In a few moments, they tried their luck by shooting at us. We evaded all of their attacks and returned the favour back to them.

The game ended in around 5 minutes, with us glowing triumphantly over our fourth (yes, fourth, sorry but I didn't have the time to blog about our third victory) victory.

We, the girls on the team believe, or wish to believe that our pink shirts brought us luck.

lol

Lizzie and I wore pink for the first victory. To honour the colour the night where we claimed our very first triumph, I wore pink again for the following match, which we conquered the court. Hoping it would bring us luck, I wore the same shirt for the first victory on the next match. Another success.

So Lizzie and I decided to wear pink together for this match, which we won!!!!! It was a really gruesome match indeed. The Devil Dukes has 5 victories (we only had 3 back then) and rank higher (heeh, they're still on top of us at a distant land) than us.

Tonight we'll be facing Tigers from Unity International College (never heard before...). They're just one rank above us, had Guna didn't slammed the ball when we won the match, we would be enjoying the same ranking with the Tigers...

It's gonna be exciting.
The boys are very excited.
They don't want to stop winning.
We want to keep the momentum alive.

YAY!!

Victory again!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Will update post.

Maestro versus Bombers from Binary (never heard before...)

This time we had some supporters. They are none other than Amy, SueLing, and Priya.

Very supportive indeed.

Headed there straight after class with our very small crowd of supporters in my car. Had our dinner at the Tesco mamak restaurant. Then we shopped a bit and SueLing finally got rid of her Xmas shoes.

Here's us camwhoring in the toilet, yes toilet (Amy loves to do that for some unknown reason), after we changed our attires.

Did some warming up outside like we did last time, but no balls to practice, apparently the captain was too lazy to bring them...

We've watched the Bombers played before and we're pretty sure that they are tough opponents. I had my hopes down, not wanting to feel the pang of disappointment if we didn't make it... Nevertheless, we kept our spirits high, giving our very best shots.

While waiting for the match to start, I saw Kathrina!! Omg, she's playing for KDU!!!

Oh noooo ah noooo... Next week we'll be playing against them...

The time had arrived at last...

With Priya's butterflies rampaging in our stomachs, we entered the arena with Tze Horng as our spokesperson. The commentator was pretty good that day. But definitely sexist!!!!

'So, Tze Horng, introduce us your best player on the team!!!' 'Well, our best players are number 5 and 11!!'

Wonder who they are? Look no further!!!!!

'Something doesn't look right here... Come on tell us the truth...'

SEXIST!!!He's saying that because we're girls there's no way we could be the best player!!! Tze Horng should shoot him...

And the game started!!

The first match was a disaster, for us. I was the last one again facing three opponents. Dodged quite a number of balls fired past me. In the end got hit by a ball at my head... *ouch*

1-0

The second match was better!!! Eliz was in the game. Su Yang and Guna were out first, leaving Aamos, Lucas, Richard and Eliz. But then two players in the court made spectacular saves, sending the shooter out and getting Su Yang and Guna back!! It's 3 versus 6!! Someone (blame SueLing for not catching who was that!!) hit an opponent, Su Yang knock an opponent out, leaving the last opponent facing a full team!!!!! *Whheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

Triple wheeeeeee for Richard (if my eyes didn't fail me) ending the match by shooting the last ball which the opponent tried to catch but failed!!!!

Not only did he failed to catch the ball, his leg was outside of the box!!!!

1-1

The third match was depressing... From a 4 to 4 players to 3 Maestros to 1 Bomber, that Raymond (should be how it's spelled), I can't believe we lost... But no doubt, that Raymond guy was good, very good. Just like a certain someone I guess. Anyway, I was the last player again... lol Seems like we lose whenever I'm the last player. Was knocked out when a ball hit my shoulder... What do you expect a girl to do?? Unless a miracle happens like last time, chances of winning with me as the last is slimmer than Amy...

2-1

The 4th match. We were damned nervous. We can't afford to lose. As normal, the balls fluttered around the players like blind flies, until we have 4 Maestros facing 2 Bombers. Another round of flutterblies, Guna and one opponent was out for touching the damned line. A few shots passed and we see Richard charging towards the last Bomber right after he attacked Lucas, springing high into the air and slamming the ball at him.

Richard Kamikaze-ing!!

The ball hit the guys abdomen and he tried to catch it. But it recoiled and he was out for good!!!!!!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

There went Guna. Darting across the court right after our victory.

*Claps*
HIGH FIVE!!

2-2

It's another tie match.

One question was pounding in our minds,

'Will we end up like last time?'

We ignored it. 'We WANT victory,' we screamed in our minds.

Back to reality. Richard was out first (or was that Guna...?), then Su Yang when he failed to grab the ball. 4 Maestros left, there were 5 Bombers. A few moments of silence and the Maestros stayed low, waiting patiently for the Bombers, who had more players, to start the attack.

A girl from Bomber fired (I must say she's very good), we waited for a while again. Lucas started our counter attack by firing a ball and did a matrix when a Bomber grabbed the opportunity. A few more balls flew threateningly across the court. Then Aamos knocked out a Bomber.

It's a 4 versus 4 (You might wanna say it's 3, since I'm pretty useless...).

Both teams took their time to restructure their plans.

Once again, the Bombers started their attack. We waited, the Maestros are collecting balls, lol.

A few more moments passed. The Bomber girl kept moving around the court, distracting us, while the guys analysed the situation cautiously with their breathes held. Like always, the opponent attacked first. Aamos led the counter-attack and the fight begun once more.

Finally one Bomber was knocked out by Lucas, thus 3 Bombers are left. Tension dominated the court. We're thrilled. We can win, but we have to be extremely cautious, for the super guy Raymond is still in.

Lucas launch the attack this time. Followed by a few more shots, Aamos got the Bomber girl. So it's 2 Bombers versus 4 (or 3) Maestros.

By then, every player had a ball in their hands. The tension is definitely growing and suffocating us. Aamos stood near the forbidden line, feigning attack. Naturally, the guy targeted responded.

Lucas broke the ice by firing a ball at Raymond while Guna attacked the other guy instantly. They blocked both balls. The other guy shot a ball at Aamos. As the Bombers retreated, Aamos sprinted forward and shot at Raymond.

He evaded. After Guna sent another ball dashing across the court, we only had 2 balls left. We returned to defend mode and the Bomber attacked us immediately. Right after their attack wave ended, Aamos and Lucas who still had balls took the chance to fire their balls.

Raymond was OUT!!! He stepped on the line!!! XDDDD

'One final enemy left to defeat,' flashed a across our minds.

Without any hesitations, Lucas attacked the last guy. After the Bomber faked an attack, Aamos sent a ball at him and picked up a stray ball right away. After the Bomber guy bounced the ball on the spot for a few times, Aamos launched his attack, followed by Lucas who feigned another attack.

I was out when the guy shot a ball at me. Without delay, Guna went Kamikaze at the guy. Bomber guy (for some unknown reason) did a pirouette and missed the ball. Guna was out, but Bomber guy crossed the line. Funny thing I noticed, black people likes to do pirouette when dodging...

Guna Kamikaze-ing. Boys love flashy stunts.

He's on the line!!!!

None of us on the court know that, we're focusing on Aamos who fired a ball at him after Guna's attack at once, which brushed his shirt at the side.

'OUT!!!!!'

We screamed.

But the referee pay no attention to us, nor to the Bombers. Instead, they gathered, formed a circle, and started whispering among themselves. The camera man rushed across the court with his bulky high-tech camera on his shoulder.

Building up our anticipation. Priya had butterflies hippo-dancing in her stomach. It was a killing moment.

And worse, they didn't reveal the result right away. Grrrrrrrrr...

Until a referee told us the Bomber guy was out, we were like possessed people crazed to know the result.

*WHAM!*

Aamos slammed the ball hard onto the floor, its sound muffled by the Maestros' screams of joy after we recover from the paralysing thought of triumph.

Our second victory
. It meant a lot to us, who were once noobs.

The Bombers are strong, but they underestimated us. Priya pointed out that a guy went 'Woooohooo!' even when a ball they shot didn't even hit us. Let's just hope all our opponents in the future are noobs.

Next game, versus KDU (uh-oh... I'll be facing Kathrina...).

I swear,
I'll bring my tripod for the next game.
I really, really can't stand the lousy quality.

Whooot!!

WE WON A GAME!!!!!

Will edit this post later.

[EDITED]

Victory is in the air!!!!! The Maestros prevails!!!!!!!

about time too...

Let's see our progress...

1st game, 3-0.

4 guys, no girls at all, they had to import a female player from other teams. Totally thrashed in less than 5 minutes.

2nd game, 3-0.

Eliz and I were in. More players, but still lost in around 5 minutes.

3rd game, 3-1.

I wasn't in, Eliz was there. Won the third match and lasted longer!

4th game, 3-2.

I was back, switching with Eliz throughout the game. Lost first 2 matches, but started winning for 2 freaking matches but lost at the final match.

5th game, 1-3.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Our very first victory!!!
FINALLY.

Seeing that we were definitely making a lot of progress after each game. We were determined not to let the impulse of outdoing our previous game die out. And we are!!!

We came earlier. Although I said 'earlier', we were just earlier than usual, the boys arrived waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay earlier than Eliz, Su Yang and I did. Mr. Pay was our driver, our very devoted driver as usual, and as usual, he was late. But we were contented with him fetching us there so no one complained anyway.

We gathered with the rest who arrived earlier in Cineleisure and moved outside to the grounds to start warming up. Like always, we're not ourselves if we don't fool around.

Did some running, stretching and we started on the ball. Throwing, catching, and not missing fooling. We girls practised catching with Guna since we can't really shoot the ball .

I got hit squarely by the ball in face for the first time in my reasonably short life.*ouch* Whereas the boys were basically playing with the balls, occasionally throwing a few serious balls. But most of the time they were just cursing each other and chasing stray balls.

Once in a while a ball would fly straight into the garden patch beside the fence. To get it one would have to walk around the garden to find an opening where there's no thorny bushes around. More often, the balls would just rolled away in top speed towards the road as the ground was slightly slanted, Marcus and Su Yang were always the one chasing the ball down the pavement.

When time's up, we scurried into the hall, waiting for our turn as we watched the players in the court battling.

At last, the time has come for us to welcome our triumph.

Maestros from Metro versus Hyperblades from HELP. (No hard feelings, HELPers)

Su Yang was our spokesperson, Eliz our camera girl. I played for the first match.

Our opponent was very well-built, according to Aamos, they are water ball players... In addition, one is his friend. That guy even asked Aamos who is our strongest player in the team in order to defeat the best player as soon as possible. But no one is stupid enough to give away any sort of confidential info like that right??

That's Guna and Lucas.

Aamos was following his strategy. It went pretty smooth. Lucas sent a shot that narrowly missed the girl, she was looking away and must had got quite a shock seeing the ball speeding passed her face.

Not trying to be mean here, but one glance at our opponents and I had some kind of feeling that they are noobs like we once were. They had good shots, but they didn't have any sort of good strategy. The match ended in less than one minute. Amazing.

WE WON. XD

Still having Su Yang as spokesperson, I became the camera girl and Eliz was in.

Su Yang, our spokesperson was indeed very motivating, he kept reminding the free dinner Aamos promised us once we win... LOL

This match, ended pretty fast too. To be exact, in around 1 minute and 28 seconds. Nothing much to be mentioned, except the climax of the match at the end. One opponent was left while our team still had around 5 players (almost full team!!) on court.

With Su Yang urging them to Kamikaze, Richard dashed across the court, leaped into the air crossing the forbidden line and fired a killer ball which ultimately defeated our opponent!! The unlucky opponent got hit in the face squarely... *double ouch*

Kamikaze!!!!!! (The jumping guy with a ball in his right hand, look for the yellow jersey...)

WE WON AGAIN.

Then I was in for the third match, Brian was our spokesperson that time, and Eliz camera girl.

By that time, our hearts were all dancing to the intro of the melody of of victory. We were so excited and nervous.

'Is this true??'

'Are we winning?'

'I can't believe it!!'

'After all the bad luck... Nike is finally beaming at us~~~~~'

The game lasted for only 51 seconds.

Lucas was the last player in the court after I was out. He lasted for some time, but was eventually out when a ball brushed his sleeve...

..........

Guess we were too rash back then, probably drowning in excessive hope and anticipation.

We lost.

But never mind, we can do it!!! That's what we believe. After all, it's just another ball. We're still leading!!!!!

We can do it!!!

Regaining our fighting spirit, we entered the court once again with snarling determination to win.

Our runners, Guna, Richard and Aamos, aka Datuk Lai. And that's Lucas, Marcus (look at his hair), and me.

Can't tell you how long it lasted, because Eliz decided to screw up our winning video. Oh and yes, WE WON THAT MATCH, putting a full-stop to that game!!!!!!!!!!!

Su Yang, Richard and Guna caught some balls, sending the shooters out, while the rest were knock out one by one!!!

We were so freaking happy!!! Big, shiny, beaming smiles spread across all our faces!! We were jumping and screaming, oblivious to the crowds.

Eliz and Aamos were sent to the interview crews for interview session upon their request. Later, the boys (except Su Yang and Lucas) went to tuck away the soft balls they bought for training and their belongings in their cars. So we waited around that area.

Here's Lucas posing, sleeping on the bench. Apparently he was having a light fever. But he can still play very well!!! I'm so impressed!!!

Camwhoring!!!

Doesn't look right. But no fear, for they both belong to someone. XD Lucas to his gf, Eliz to her Marcus~~

Guess whose bum...

The boys came back. Walking to the mamak stall to celebrate, you can see how happy and proud Aamos was, and probably is. He's still wearing his hideous jersey and wouldn't take off.

At the mamak stall. Aamos treated the whole team two roti tissues and drinks. Way to go Aamos!!! Lol, ok, so I shouldn't order orange juice at a mamak, but who cares?? I like orange juice!!!!

I must say, Lucas looks good with Eliz's hand bag... XD

Another game tomorrow night. We're getting better, our skills chasing up to the better than average standard. Some more we have some really strong people in our team!!!

Tomorrow will be against Binary. Let's hope we'll win!!

GO MAESTRO GO!!!

[/EDITED]
